Trailblazing with RMS: An Unexpected Opportunity LEMTRADA patient blogger: Rachel By Rachel, Wife, Mother, Domestic Engineer • September 6, 2017

Horseback riding with relapsing MS

You know those days where things don’t exactly go as planned? Well, I had one recently—and the thing is, it was better than I could have ever imagined!

I was traveling to Utah, but unfortunately, when I arrived, I found out my plans had been cancelled. So now here I was in Utah, wondering how to pass my time. As luck would have it, I was able to score the last spot on a trail ride through Snow Canyon State Park. Of course, I ended up grouped with a family. So yes. I was that girl crashing a family vacation outing. But if you’ve read any of my other posts you know how much I love horses. So for me, this was divine fortune otherwise known as a no-brainer!

One thing I continue to learn in life is that when things go wrong there might be an opportunity to make something good out of it. For me, it’s all about staying flexible and being open to saying, “Ok, what now?”

So that’s what I did. I went from feeling down about missing out on my plans to having a day out surrounded by the beauty in the world around me. Perception is reality, and it really can make a difference if you see the world through a positive mindset and take steps to make the most of it.

It’s really hard to put into words how blessed I feel for having an opportunity to explore the outdoors and be one with nature. That being said, I took a TON of pictures to capture the moment that I want to share with you. I hope that you see the beauty that I do!

And I’m always looking for new places to explore to stay inspired. Is there a certain somewhere you go to marvel at the beauty of the world?
