LEMTRADA is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). Because of its risks, LEMTRADA is generally used in people who have tried 2 or more MS medicines that have not worked well enough. It is not known if LEMTRADA is safe and effective for use in children under 17 years of age.

Get Involved in the MS Community none By the LEMTRADA Team • May 25, 2017

NA

Whether you have relapsing MS or know someone who has it, there are plenty of ways to get involved in the MS community and meet people like you who are fueled with determination to raise awareness about MS.

Challenging yourself and relapsing MS can be a very rewarding experience, and meeting like-minded people is also a plus. So now you’re probably wondering how to get in on the fun.

Well, throughout the year, the National MS Society offers a ton of these events—and they take place all across the country!

You can either participate in an event or take on one of the many opportunities to volunteer as well.

Each city is unique, so each MS event is unique, but here are some events you might want to take a look at:

Bike MS

Bike MS events take place throughout the country in the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. Go for a nice ride with a team or by yourself if you prefer, and raise some money along the way for a good cause. There are over 100 rides a year—ranging from 15 to 150 miles long, so there’s something for everyone.

Walk MS

Walk MS events are offered in cities all across America in the Spring and Summer. The walking distances vary, and if you can’t participate physically, you can participate online by virtually experiencing the walk and still fundraise for MS research. Join or start a team today!

Swim for MS

Swim for MS welcomes individuals and teams to host events and raise money for MS research. It’s a different kind of program because you can participate anytime from anywhere and create your own events. You can have pool parties, swim contests, one-day events, and more—the choice is yours!
