LEMTRADA is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). Because of its risks, LEMTRADA is generally used in people who have tried 2 or more MS medicines that have not worked well enough. It is not known if LEMTRADA is safe and effective for use in children under 17 years of age.

Donnie Father, Husband, Project Leader, Former Athlete

LEMTRADA patient blogger: Donnie

Three words people use to describe me are:

Inspirational, determined, and genuine

My happy place is:

With my wife and kids

A fun fact about me:

I was a 3-year Letterman in both baseball and football in high school

I want to say right off the bat that my relapsing MS doesn’t control the way I live my life. Family, faith, and commitment have helped me through my diagnosis and my journey with MS.

I’m Donnie and I live in Kentucky with my wife and 2 daughters who always inspire me. They encourage me to keep doing the things I love, like swimming, and working as a project leader, which I’ve done for the same company for 22 years.

After my high school sports career, I’ve carried that same leadership, motivation, and “Can-Do” attitude with me for my whole life. People are really receptive to my positive outlook, so if I can make a difference in one person’s life with relapsing MS by telling my LEMTRADA story, why wouldn’t I tell it?
