LEMTRADA is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). Because of its risks, LEMTRADA is generally used in people who have tried 2 or more MS medicines that have not worked well enough. It is not known if LEMTRADA is safe and effective for use in children under 17 years of age.

LEMTRADA: Get MS Awareness Out There none By the LEMTRADA Team • May 31, 2017

Find ways to get involved and help raise MS awareness

It’s World MS Day! And even though it’s a globally recognized condition, sometimes multiple sclerosis (MS) can seem invisible to others. But it doesn’t take a lot to open people’s eyes. You can help change things by raising awareness, which can start discussions about MS and lead to a better overall understanding. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Get Educated

Education is important when you are trying to raise awareness. Knowing your facts can help you inform others, address myths, and increase empathy. The better you can explain MS, the more likely you are to inspire others to get involved in the cause.

Get Involved

Put your MS experience to work by planning an event. You can start small by getting a few people together. You don’t need to go big to make a difference. Simply share your MS story, set a realistic goal, and ask others to lend some support by volunteering, fundraising, or joining an event.

Get Out There

Attend an MS event! Between walks, talks, meet-ups, and fundraisers, there are so many opportunities to be active in the larger MS community. Simply pick one that’s convenient for you and start there.

Get on Social Media

However you connect with others—whether you like, hashtag, or post—social media is a great way to spread awareness for the causes we care about. So share your MS experiences, promote MS events, and connect the MS community with your own online community. Follow MS One to One® on Facebook and Instagram for more ideas on how to get the word out.

Any time is a great time to dive into the MS community. The more we do together, the bigger difference we can make for everyone affected by MS.
